Infant Childcare
Our Infant Development Programs
Classrooms: Cubs 1 and 2
From the moment babies enter the world, they are learning. Every interaction they have, every food they eat, every cuddle they get contributes to the way they see and feel the world. As trusted caregivers to children of all ages, we know the importance of this stage and finding the best infant childcare. We focus our infant programs on providing babies a developmentally appropriate time to absorb and explore the world around them.
What Makes US Different?
Why choose FishCreek Kids Academy? We take a unique approach to childcare. We believe that all children, even infants, should be cared for as individuals. We individualize care and lesson plans based on specific child’s needs. Since every infant is different, we will follow their specific schedule and needs. Establishing these routines helps to soothe and calm babies so they know what to expect. We work with families so that the child’s goals and milestones are met. This helps parents reinforce the new skills or abilities at home. Sign Language is used to help babies communicate with how they are feeling and what they might need and/or want.

We give each baby a personal crib, so they learn to feel comfortable in their new place. We also keep changing and feeding areas separate. Cleanliness and safety of your infant is a high priority. This helps babies get more comfortable in what starts off as an unfamiliar setting. We want your baby to feel secure so they can grow more independent and participate in age-appropriate activities. Our Cub teachers are CPR and First Aid Certified and are trained in SIDS and Infant Safe Sleeping Care.
We believe in engaging infants using methods that are proven to enhance brain connections, such as using sensory experiences and encouraging motor skills. We practice using different senses through the week so your infant can experience: touch, seeing, hearing, tasting, and smelling in varied ways.
At FishCreek, we emphasize learning, but we do it in a fun way. Infants learn through play, and we encourage them to discover the things around them, creating a place where they can explore without encountering any hazards. Even our little Cubs have journals and participate in two daily circle times, finger plays and story times, art, and sensory activities. Infants also have exercise time where we can work on strengthening muscles and hand/eye coordination. Our Older infants also participate in our weekly assembly.
We use an app that provides parents with real time information. We let you know how your child did each day, so you don’t have to wonder. Daily reports will let you know what your child ate that day (whether table food or bottles) or how many diaper changes were completed that day. We post pictures of your babies’ day and activities and message parents with reminders like items needed.
